Acting in English - Intermediate

Content and Goals

We work with improvisations, basic acting and drama exercises. The goal is to explore different forms of expression and techniques, while deepening the understanding of acting craft and scenic interpretation based on scripts. Above all, the course aims to be enjoyable and engaging. It is designed for those who have English as a native language or wish to develop their acting skills in another language.

Arrangement

Through acting exercises, collaboration, and concentration training, we explore the fundamentals of the actor’s craft. This continuation course places greater emphasis on developing acting technique and character portrayal through script work. Improvisation remains a key component, helping to foster imagination and spontaneity.

Previous knowledge

The course is suitable for those who have completed one or more terms of previous theatre courses. Your development is individual and based on your experiences and your personal commitment. All teaching is in English.

Course teacher

Amanda Erixon is educated in both Muscial at Kulturama and Theater at the Stella Adler Studio in New York, where she lived for a few years. She has appeared in plays, shows and musicals. Read more about Amanda and our other teachers here.

All our course teachers undergo Kulturama's and Medborgarskolans pedagogical basic course and are offered an internal training program with the opportunity for continued personal and pedagogical / methodological development.
